Few places on earth possess such a concentrated wealth of all things pertaining to quilts and quilt-making. Wander into a quality quilt shop in Pennsylvania and you're quite likely to find a hand-stitched quilt from the Daviess County region. Countless hours of measuring, stitching and sewing fabric go into Daviess County quilts, and a quilt from the region is a for-sure keepsake.

Local Amish quilts have gained national recognition for their intricate patterns and flawless attention to detail. Judy Morton who has an extensive set of Daviess County quilts has had her private collection featured at shows across the country, including the International Quilt Festival in Chicago. In the August 2006 issue of Quilter's World, Judy displayed her quilts in an interest piece about the avid collector.
